EligibilityApplicants must be a current member of AFMRD (at the time of application and throughout the duration of the program) and meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
Approximately three weeks following the close of the application process, the class roster will be announced and applicants will be notified whether or not they were accepted. At that time, those accepted into the fellowship may pay the $7,000 tuition by credit card or check. If paying by credit card, an additional fee per transaction will also be assessed. Payment is required 3 weeks prior to the first session. Selection CriteriaNIPDD typically receives more applications than there are positions available in the next entering class. Applicants are therefore screened and prioritized with a goal of accommodating as many applicants as possible who will be serving in the Program Director (PD) role in an operating program training residents by July 1 of the year they complete the fellowship. Accordingly, applicants will be prioritized in the following categories in descending order of priority:
If there are more applicants in a priority category than available space, those who applied earliest will receive preference. If accepted applicants subsequently cancel their participation, that position will be offered to candidates who were not initially accepted in priority order.
