The Accreditation Navigation Course is provided by the AFMRD and the ACOFP. It is an intensive two-session program modeled after AFMRD's renowned National Institute for Program Director Development (NIPDD). The Accreditation Navigation Course, taught by a team of highly experienced faculty, provides in-depth material on all aspects of ACGME accreditation.
The $2,500 tuition covers both sessions, your PDW registration fee, and the many extras listed below. We are offering a $500 discount when two or more people from the same program attend together. (For example, a program director with a DIO or a program director with a program coordinator.) The first person will pay $2,500, any others will pay $2,000. The Accreditation Navigation Course is led by an esteemed faculty with many years of experience directing ACGME accredited programs.
William Gillanders, MD, FAAFP, is a former program director and the founding director of two residency programs. He is also a consultant for the AAFP Residency Program Solutions.
Vickie Greenwood is the executive director of AFMRD. Ms. Greenwood was the residency administrator for the Cox Family Medicine Residency program in Springfield, Missouri, for 14 years.
James W. Jarvis, MD, FAAFP, is a member of the AFMRD Board of Directors and the program director for Eastern Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Center and Residency in Bangor, Maine – a dually accredited program.
Judith A. Pauwels, MD, FAAFP, a former program director, is an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington and a consultant for the AAFP Residency Program Solutions.
Jennifer Swoyer, DO, is the director of medical education and the osteopathic program director at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency in La Grange, Illinois.
Zachry L. Waterson, DO, FAAFP, is the family medicine residency director and director of osteopathic medical education at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is also an AAFP Residency Program Solutions consultant.
