AFMRD Board Nomination Process
Interested AFMRD residency director members must complete the online form and upload the required CV and photo.
Submissions are now closed. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Following approval of the slate of candidates by the AFMRD Board, each candidate’s documents will be posted on a members-only section of the AFMRD website. Once this information is posted, the membership will be notified and encouraged to review the candidates’ information.
Elections will take place at the AFMRD Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 24 (during PDW).
At this year’s meeting, the membership will elect three members to serve two-year terms as member-at-large directors; and one member to serve a one-year term as president-elect, followed by a one-year term as president and a one-year term as immediate past president.
To be eligible for a Board of Directors role with AFMRD the candidate must have a minimum of two years experience as a program director of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. To be eligible for an officer role the candidate must have two years experience as a member of the AFMRD Board of Directors.
Due to last year's changes in the Rules of Order, approved by the Board, there will be no nominations taken from the floor and voting will be by plurality rather than majority -- eliminating repeated run-off voting.
Candidates will have three minutes to introduce themselves and address the membership present at the Annual Meeting.
