Come join a new family medicine residency based in Sumter, South Carolina, a mid-sized city located in the Midlands region of the state. Our mission is to improve primary care throughout rural South Carolina and elsewhere. We have successfully recruited two classes to date and are in the process of selecting a third. We are affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia and enjoy excellent support from the School, Prisma Health and our local physician community. Sumter is geographically located with easy access to the ocean and the mountains and has a vibrant historic district and low cost of living.

Position Description: The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an Enthusiastic Family Physician with great clinical and teaching skills to serve as Associate Program Director for a community-based, university affiliated 6-6-6 program that serves an underserved population in Selma Alabama and embraces innovation and teamwork to care for patients and each other. Ideal candidate will have passion for teaching residents and medical students and be willing to practice inpatient adult medicine, pediatrics and OB care, as well as nursing home and outpatient medicine. Support for scholarly activities and  NIPDD,  as well as other activities serving the mission of the School of Medicine and institutional leadership development opportunities are available. Prior faculty appointment within a Family Medicine Residency program preferred, but not required.
