AFMRD Board Nomination Process
Nominations are now closed. Please check back in early 2019.
Interested AFMRD residency director members must complete an application and upload the required CV and photo.
Following approval of the slate of candidates by the AFMRD Board, each candidate’s documents will be posted on a members-only section of the AFMRD website. Once this information is posted, the membership will be notified and encouraged to review the candidates’ information.
Elections will take place at the AFMRD Annual Meeting (during PDW).
To be eligible for a Board of Directors role with AFMRD the candidate must have a minimum of two years experience as a program director of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. To be eligible for an officer role the candidate must have two years experience as a member of the AFMRD Board of Directors.
As stated in the Rules of Order, there will be no nominations taken from the floor and voting will be by plurality rather than majority -- eliminating repeated run-off voting.
Candidates will have three minutes to introduce themselves and address the membership present at the Annual Meeting.
If you are are elected to the Board, we ask that you be available to be present for AFMRD Board pictures and New Board Orientation after the Annual Meeting, from 4:30-6:00 PM. Please review the responsibilities of the AFMRD Board and Board members.
