CAFM Advocacy

The AFMRD advocates on behalf of its members both as an individual organization and as a member of the the Council of Academic Family Medicine (CAFM). The CAFM consists of the leadership of the AFMRD as well as the Association of Departments of Family Medicine, the North American Primary Care Research Group, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

AFMRD legislative activities are conducted though CAFM. Hope Wittenberg serves as our director of government relations. Her position in Washington, DC, is supported financially by all CAFM organizations.
