What are your greatest professional interests?

The full spectrum of family medicine,  from helping people into this life, to supporting them as they leave this life. I also love to help others, particularly medical students, to understand the personal and professional fulfillment of our specialty.

What are your personal hobbies and interests?

I enjoy working around the house and yard, exercising, eating a whole-food, plant based diet and spending time with my wife and children. I also enjoy playing the piano and taught myself how to play the organ.

If you could wave a magic wand and change one thing about graduate medical education, what would it be?

We would have a medical economic system that would attract the best and brightest to want to teach and mentor the next generation of family physicians.
