AFMRD PREZ RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FROM: MICHAEL MAZZONE, MD,
PRESIDENT, ASSOCIATION OF FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY DIRECTORS

The family of family medicine has agreed upon Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) for our specialty. The purpose of these EPAs is to better define what a family physician will be prepared to perform at the end of their residency. The EPAs can be found here on the AFMRD website. Please bear in mind, the EPAs were designed to serve as tools to help guide your training, and are not requirements. We appreciate the input that helped to create these EPAs. We will soon be convening a group to determine ways to use the EPAs most effectively.

AFMRD PREZ RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FROM: MICHAEL MAZZONE, MD, PRESIDENT
ASSOCIATION OF FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY DIRECTORS

Check out this amazing video of our resident representative Natasha Bhuyan (I expect her to be AAFP president someday) as she shares her experiences on the AFMRD Board of Directors. If you have residents interested in academics or in national leadership I would suggest sharing this with them.

The AFMRD board is a great way for them (and you) to gain national experience. This year's representative will be elected at the National Conference in July so there is still time to runif they are interested.

Looking forward to seeing many of you at National Conference.

Just a reminder that registration for the NIPDD (National Institute for Program Director Development) 2015-2016 class is now available. This is a must for new program directors and extremely helpful for assistant PDs. To register go to the webpage and hurry as this tends to fill up quickly.

Have a great summer (though in Wisconsin I'm not sure it started yet)!
