Marjorie Guthrie, MD

Marjorie Guthrie, MD, earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Knox College. She completed her medical education at Rush University Medical College before coming to Southwest Illinois Family Medicine Residency to complete her family medicine residency. After graduation, she stayed on as faculty and progressed in leadership to Associate Program Director and then became Program Director in 2013. As a faculty member, Dr. Guthrie’s clinical interests include broad-spectrum family medicine practice, women’s health, obstetrics, and mental health. She is passionate about resident wellness and encouraging residents to be the best version of themselves. When not at the residency, Dr. Guthrie spends time cheering on her three children, along with her husband, at youth sporting events, and when not doing that she loves to hike, travel or read a good book.
